In some ways it seems like just yesterday that we set sail from Omaha to Boston Harbor. It’s been a circuitous route with two visits to St. Louis for Board meetings and a detour south for the AMASC World Congress.
Esprit de Coeur is published biannually by the Associated Alumnae and Alumni of the Sacred Heart for all alumnae/i of Sacred Heart Schools in the U.S. and Western Canada. It includes features on alum news, conferences and other events, Sacred Heart authors, news from AMASC, the Network of Sacred Heart Schools and RSCJ.

At the end of May, in a humble, quiet departure, Jeanne Burke O’Fallon locked up and slipped out the door of her AASH office. After 17 years, the woman who has connected thousands of alumnae and alumni has begun her retirement.
I am writing to you on the verge of the new year, reflecting on all the Sacred Heart friends I have met these last few months. I’ve had the pleasure of attending the four Regional gatherings in Denver, Cleveland, Bryn Mawr, Penn., and Grand Coteau, La. Each had a unique flavor and reaffirmed what it means to be part of this Sacred Heart family.
AMASC in Malta was an experience I will never forget! The setting was a beautiful backdrop to an international connection to Sacred Heart like no other. I had the honor of representing all of you, carrying the American flag through the streets of Valetta along with all the other countries’ presidents who were present.
