Dear Sacred Heart Alumnae and Alumni,
As another summer ends and school hallways are filled with laughter and sharing summer adventures with each other, the AASH Board has been working hard on new programs to enhance our connection with alums far and wide.
We continue work strengthening and growing AASH’s relationships with the Network of Sacred Heart Schools, individual alumnae and alumni associations, and the Society of the Sacred Heart. Our goal is to ensure that AASH fulfills the mission while evolving into a collaborative and vibrant organization that is well positioned to respond to future challenges and opportunities.
AMASC General Membership Meeting and Congress-in person cancelled
Earlier this summer, AMASC announced the difficult decision to cancel the in-person General Membership Meeting and Congress planned for Puerto Rico this November due to a combination of serious international and regional circumstances. Planning is underway for a virtual gathering, and details will be shared as soon as they are finalized.

AASH Combined Virtual Regional Meeting
Mary Finlayson, RSCJ, will give us a virtual tour of Villa Lante, the newly renovated RSCJ novitiate house and retreat center in Rome, Italy. A Q&A will follow her presentation. The Regional Directors will also each give a brief update from their schools and associations. Register here.

Speakers for this year’s conference include Brother Guy J. Consolmagno, S.J, Director Emeritus of the Vatican Observatory, President of the Vatican Observatory Foundation, and Grand Coteau alumnus, Beth James, co-owner of Prairie Rondo Rice. The Sheila O’Dwyer Party, which will kick off the Conference, will be held at El Tiempo Cantina on Westheimer Rd., and the Cor Unum luncheon at the Houston Racquet Club will wrap up the Conference. Look for more information in the upcoming fall edition of the Esprit de Coeur.
We look forward to connecting with you this fall and continuing our important work together, creating opportunities to celebrate our extraordinary Sacred Heart education and, most importantly, support one another all over the world.

Bryn Mawr Celebrates the Mass of the Holy Spirit and Welcomes Its New Head of School
Bryn Mawr celebrated the Mass of the Holy Spirit with the Installation Rite of Head of School Robin Nolan on Friday, September 11. Mrs. Nolan served as Interim Head of School during the 2025–26 school year and joined the Bryn Mawr community in 2023 as Director of Advancement.
On Saturday, September 26, the Parents Association will host its Annual Family Fun Fair from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Children can enjoy a morning of games, a moon bounce, face painting, and treats. All area Sacred Heart alumnae and their families are welcome to join the fun! Register here.
Convent of the Sacred Heart 91st Street, and Sacred Heart Greenwich will host the Hildreth Meière Manhattan Legacy Walking Tour

Convent of the Sacred Heart 91st Street, and Sacred Heart Greenwich are delighted to co-host an exclusive guided walking tour celebrating the enduring masterworks of renowned Sacred Heart alumna Hildreth Meière from the Class of 1911 (as featured in our recent issue of Les Amies (click here to read pp. 28–31). Join us as we trace her artistic legacy through Manhattan, with stops at St. Bartholomew’s Church, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and Temple Emanu-El, with a culmination in the iconic "Red Room" at Printemps. Cost is $35 (does not include subway fare). Please note that this walking tour covers several city blocks at a brisk pace and requires navigating stairs. Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart
Newton mourns the passing of Barbara Joan Rogers RSCJ on September 7, 2026. Sister Rogers, a graduate of Elmhurst and Manhattanville, worked at the Sacred Heart schools in Princeton, NJ, Bethesda, MD, Chekalini, Kenya, Miami, FL, and Newton, MA. She served as Headmistress of Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart for 34 years (1989-2023). Gifts may be made to Newton’s Sacred Heart Endowment in Memory of Sister Rogers.

In August, Dr. Jacqueline Gallo was the keynote speaker for the Janet Erskine Stuart, RSCJ Institute for Teaching and Learning. She spoke at the school for a “day of learning and connection”. It is celebrating its 65th Anniversary. The 4th-6th-grade students did the school calendar, highlighting their school’s moments in history.

This upcoming weekend is the 2026 Alumni Reunion at Convent and Stuart Hall Schools of the Sacred Heart! All alumni from all graduation years are welcome to attend. The festivities will kick off Friday, September 18th, with a social for 21+ alums, followed on Saturday, September 19, by a Mass, open house, and luncheon.
