Marion Ramsey, longtime faculty member

Marion Ramsey taught generations of Sacred Heart students science and many to remember the word "ephemeral" as she shared her passion for, and opened her home on, Dauphin Island for the annual 8th-grade trip. Over her 30+ years of teaching at Sacred Heart, she inspired countless students in a love for science and was ultimately the science department chair. The Alumnae Association recognized her many contributions to school life with the St. Philippine Duchesne Award in 2016. Marion's family involvement at Sacred Heart was extensive including her daughter Katelyn Ramsey Castleberry '92, daughter-in-law Kathleen Murray Ramsey '95, sisters-in-law Kerry Ramsey Brown '65 and Tricia Ramsey Hall '70, nieces, Markey Sarpy Aucoin '89 and Tricia Aucoin '93 (exited), and great-niece Tricia Aucoin '22
